Niagara Game Con last year was pretty nerve-wracking, it was my first “themed” event, my first time at an event with an admission fee, and I was just nervous – but I met a lot of great people, found some new connections, found some more events, and did really well! This year was even bigger and better than last year, with a fantastic day had, and I almost sold out of dice!
It’s always nice to meet new people and sell my items. I had a lot of new stuff, and went a little wild printing some dice towers before the Con. I’m really glad I did, because I sold, sold sold. I talked to a lot of people about dice and dice making, met some really fantastic folks, and just sold out of some promo stuff, and a bunch of other things. Just blown away! I could hardly believe it when I was packing my stuff up – there was barely anything left.
It was a super fun event. Everyone was amazing. Definitely a special day for me, and definitely a huge boost for the self esteem. It’s hard when you don’t sell some days, but this event just took off about 10:30am and didn’t stop until the end. I got to talk nerdy, too, and people didn’t seem too freaked out by it. I’ve found my people.
