I was browsing Etsy and looking for new dice molds and user RednArt was having a sale and her shop had a really high rating (4.9) with lots of pictures and great reviews. She has all sorts of molds, from 7 piece standard to 11 piece, blanks, chonks, and more. I saw her 11 piece sharp edge reusable silicone dice mold for resin and it looked great. It consists of
- 2 standard size D20’s
- 4 standard size D4’s
- 1 D12
- 1 D10
- 1 Percentile
- 1 D8
- 1 4
I had been wanting more D6’s to sell sets with extra D6’s because I hated finding great 7 piece sets when I played, and having to find extra D6’s that didn’t match. So I went with her shop reviews and took a confident chance that I would receive a high quality mold. I saw that it was being shipped from Ukraine, and knew I would have to wait a while for shipping, with the unfortunate situation there right now, but the cost of shipping was surprisingly less than being shipped to Canada (I’m in Ontario) from most sellers in the US.
I ordered the mold, quite happily, and she immediately shipped it out, with a tracking number. 2 weeks later I received the mold! I had bought from other sellers in Ukraine (who I’ll also review, very high quality molds) and it took about 2 months to receive the items, without tracking. I know that it takes a while to ship from anywhere overseas, and I don’t knock down ratings due to circumstances around shipping.

It was well packaged, I opened it, she had included a card, which was very sweet, and it looked great. It was just super clean, not an imperfection anywhere on it. It had an attachment for the lid, but that came off after a couple uses, but I’m not striking down for that. It was solid and it was easy to take the top off and on without having to fiddle or move it around.
I poured some resin into it, just some basic stuff, and did my usual overfull of each spot. I pour a bit extra, so there’s a tiny bit over the top, not pouring over, but just slightly over. I put the lid down, and it was easy. I don’t press it down hard, I find just setting it on top and letting gravity and my pressure pot works fine. I put it in my pressure pot and set it to 30 PSI and left it for 12 hours.
I opened my pot the next morning and the results were great. There was only a thin layer of resin on top of the dice, and it was definitely a high quality, well worth it, mold. It’s superior to all my molds, and my more expensive molds look like they should be in a discount pile compared to this one. The top came off easily, and every die was perfect. First try, perfect pull.
I let them sit and cure for a little while longer. The mold was a bit difficult to get them out, because of how solid it is. I don’t use any kind of release in the mold itself, but nothing was sticking, it was just a sturdy mold. The dice came out fine after the first couple came out. They looked great.
The best part: The numbers. I hate inking and the font and number size she used made it so easy for both my brush markers and my Posca fine markers. I colour in the number, usually get a bit on the outside, and then wipe it off with a cloth for cleaning lenses on glasses. It wiped off the excess easily, and didn’t take off the ink in the number itself. I was thrilled.
I sent her a message and thanked her, also asked if I could review her mold. She and I chatted a bit, she’s extremely kind, and gave the okay.
My only regret is I bought 1 mold. I am moving in February, so I don’t want to order any more to my current address because of the situations worldwide and also the holidays, so as soon as I’m settled at my new address, I’m going to be buying a couple more molds from her. Her prices are exceptional, even at full price, the shipping she uses is well worth it, and in Canadian dollars, everything was under $100. That’s an incredible deal for the quality of the mold and the speed of shipping.
